No more pre-relationship tag for Daine and Numair! And I accidentally lied and they kissed before she was eighteen. DAMNIT NUMAIR.

But what if heaven was just your favorite fictional universe.
Like you died and woke up in the setting of your favorite book or show.

I came out to have a good time and I’m honestly feeling so attacked right now.
Daine in Carthak, probably. (via cryptohomorocker)

More finches!  Yes, girls and boys the house sparrow, or English sparrow, isn’t a sparrow at all.  It’s a member of the finch family, brought over here in the 1800s when a rocket scientist decided what this land mass needed was Shakespeare’s birds.  He released some of these guys (the all-brown ones are females; the ones with the black tie are males) and some starlings and I don’t know what all else in Central Park in NYC, and they have been very successful, somewhat to the detriment of native birds.
Since there is nothing we can do about that, I will admit I love both sparrows and starlings.  House sparrows are a lot friendlier to patient urban feeders than the native sparrows, though I love to watch them, too, and if you watch starlings long enough, you will notice that individually they are not very bright and will do things like fall over their own feet.  They also eat a lot of insects that would otherwise fuck up crops, and they form those huge, glorious flocks in the autumn.
Okay, obviously I have had a little too much coffee this morning, and I have to go get Arram out of trouble with the headmaster.  He just did a thing, when the lightning and the thunder happened during a lesson, and he was trying something, and, well.  It wasn’t on purpose.
Check out sparrows and starlings.  Feed them little bits of food.  It’s a hard old world out there.

Ok so this itself is really interesting but then gosh bb university Arram making horrendously destructive mistakes is what I’ve been living for eeeep!

Another house sparrow, English sparrow, male: note the darker back colorings, the gray hat, and the black mark (the “necktie”) under his beak.  As he rises in rank in the flock, that black mark will spread sideways around his neck and fill in more down his chest.  The more pronounced the necktie, the higher he is in flock status.
I learn these things from books.

Does anyone know if Daine has a size limit on her transformations? I read on Tammy’s website that she’s limited to vertebrates, but could she turn into a titanosaur or a threadsnake if she wanted to?

Since she’s a demigoddess, not really on the size. I don’t think she’d go for…
